We believe since God gives us eternal life as a gift through Jesus Christ, the true believer is secure in that salvation for eternity. A Christian may fall into sin and break God's heart, bring reproach on the cause of Christ and temporal judgment on himself, but he cannot "lose" his salvation. Salvation is maintained by the grace and keeping power of God, not by the self-effort of the Christian.
